Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if my child needs speech therapy?

If you notice that your child is not talking as much as other children their age, or see an increase in frustration at their lack of communication, they may benefit from speech therapy. If your child is feeling frustrated that others do not understand them, they may also benefit from speech therapy. We are happy to offer guidance and advice on milestones and concerns.

How long will my child need speech therapy?

Each child is different. Some children can graduate in less than a year, and some will benefit from continued support. Your plan of care will include details on recommendations, and you will receive progress reports that advise you on their care as well.

Do you take insurance?

We are in-network with Blue Shield of California, and are actively working towards credentialing with other commercial insurance companies.

We also accept private pay. We offer superbills upon request for possible reimbursement from your insurance agency. You are responsible for calling and verifying your reimbursement.

What is a superbill?

A Superbill is a claim that is provided by your therapist after a service has been paid for. You will then submit the superbill to your insurance for possible reimbursement of part or all of the session.

How do we know if our insurance covers out-of-network speech therapy?

If you are unsure whether your insurance covers out-of-network speech therapy, we will call on your behalf to verify.
