Philosophy

At Little Olives Speech Therapy, we value connection over compliance. Our therapy technique is play-based and often child-led to provide a safe and welcoming environment for children to grow. We invite parents and caregivers to be part of their child’s sessions to promote generalization of our targets and enhance your communication when we are not there. We will do our best to use the objects already within your home, and turn routines into language-rich opportunities

Deyanah Jarrar, M.S., CCC-SLP

FOUNDER, LEAD SLP

Hi there! My name is Deyanah, and I am the founder of Little Olives Speech Therapy. I am licensed in California and certified through the American Speech-Language Hearing Association, and I graduated with my Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from Pacific University in Oregon. I specialize in pediatric speech and language disorders and I've worked in a variety of pediatric settings, including early childhood centers, elementary schools, teletherapy, and private practice. My approach to therapy is play-based and evidence-based, while tailoring each session to each individual child’s learning style. I am passionate about making therapy fun and inclusive for everyone participating. At Little Olives Speech Therapy, we strive to help our clients find their voice and feel confident in their communication skills. In my free time I love spending time with my dogs, and baking for my friends and family. Outside of the speech world, my other love is plants and enjoying the outdoors in my garden.
